So I'm fangirling..... (Jurassic world review)
Ever since I was a little girl, I've had a love affair with Dinosaurs.
I played walking with Dinosaurs on repeat, I had dinosaur toys etc.
So when it came to watch Jurassic world today, I was really worried that it would suck. I had loved Jurassic park and the Lost world, but the third one not so much.
From the off, there was little subtle throw backs to the original, the mentions of John Hammond. The theme music, the guy wearing the t-shirt in the control room.
But what I was looking forward to was the dinosaurs - despite the fact that they were all CGI this time. You had the little rider section - where kids could ride little baby dinosaurs such as my favourite (the triceratops) , there was the petting zoo, the safrai part etc.
Then there were the raptors - my favourite in the movie - they gave all of Chris Pratt's sassy nature straight back to him. There was a great bond between the two and as the plot progressed, I was genuinely concerned for their welfare.
That feeling of concern was one that stretched to all the dinos in the film . Even the indomious Rex. After all, they are only doing what is natural and as humans we have decided that they need to be stopped and killed.
The film itself was awesome. So many emotions in it. There is comedy courtesy of Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard. Its well worth a watch and I predict that my partner and I will go and watch it again. Possibly also another time after that.
Its the only film in a long time that I've come out with a massive smile on my face
But when it comes down to it, I'd give my left arm for Isla Nebula to be real.
Let me know what you thought of the movie!
