The fun of the fair and a pamper review
I hope that you've all had a great weekend.
I am overjoyed to announce that Luke and I officially completed our Christmas shopping list on Saturday. All the presents are bought but are at the moment unwrapped. All we have to worry about is food for the big day. If you are worried about getting organised for the festivities .... then you can check out a previous post that I wrote a little while ago.
You can find it on this post here . For me, my motivation in getting organised was all money driven. Last year we were poor December to February because we had not properly thought ahead.
I have to say this weekend has been a very busy one for the both of us. I feel like I need a weekend to get over my weekend. But we have had fun which is the main thing.
Today saw us go to the St Crispins street fair in Northampton. I loved it last year so I was quite looking forward to it. I think that there is something magical about the lights and the people that you meet there. Its lovely to see children's faces light up and hear their laughter. To see people go on rides and see the excitement shine.
I love to see Northampton put on a decent event on also. Northampton is my current home town and recently its felt a little neglected... shops shut and roads decayed. But everything is slowly but surely starting to get done up and improved.
Not the best picture but you get the idea....
I went to the fair with Luke, my dad and his partner and we had a lovely time. I managed to drag Luke on the Twister and the Jimney Cricket rides. Of course, the fair meant partaking in fair food.... A cheeky burger and chips. I think we managed to resist the sweets as we have two massive tubs of Halloween Candy to get through....
It's ok according to my phone I've walked five miles today aahaha (just for those of you that have asked about my training)
Now the rides were fun.... but being spun around in cold air meant that my hair got some 'extra life in it'
(top Next and cardigan New Look... Hair as styled by Chewie himself )
So I decided that I needed to warm up so I went in the bath, sorted the hair and decided to test a new face mask.
The Aloe Protective Restoring Mask for sensitive skin by the Body Shop was this evening's choice. It has a really nice gentle smell. As with other masks, make sure you have a clean face and apply all over the face. It works in 15 mins. It's left my face extremely soft. I chose this as my free gift for my Body Shop Birthday present and I am glad that I did.
As you know I normally swear by Superdrug's range of face masks, but this product is a close contender to dethrone them. If you are looking for a simple face mask without an overpowering oder then this is for you! Cheeky bonus is that it is not tested on animals and it comes in a resealable tub so you can use it more than once.
Because sometimes you just need to take a quick picture of a product and a shadow gets involved
Also, when I was shopping at the weekend... I gave in an bought a new Nail Varish. Again by my favourites Barry M. Luke actually picked the colour so I can't take credit for that
This is from the same range as the blue that you all said you loved!
My addiction to Barry M is becoming quite serious....
So here is to the week ahead. Let me know if you have anything planned....
