My fitness journey : an update

Hello all,

I hope that the start of this week is being kind to you all. I , myself, feel as though I am coming down with something. I woke up yesterday and I had a sore throat and a headache. Part of me thought that I was simply dehydrated, but it appears to be more than that. 




To be fair, I haven't been ill in about a year so I had a good run haha 
Speaking of runs, that brings me to the subject of this post. 


If you recall, in a previous post and vlog, I announced that I would be running for charity and also I will be walking 17miles in June on the south coast of England.

I hope to raise as much money as possible, particularly the walk, as I will be raising money for both Antony Nolan and Bloodwise (two charities that aim to combat blood cancer and help sufferers with treatment and so forth) 

As you may or may not know, my own mother suffers and I can tell you from first hand experience, its a horrible disease

Therefore with great cardio comes training and determination. I promised in the previous posts on the subject, that I would post updates. 

So just over a month on here we go..... I have managed to lose just under a stone (10 lbs) just through healthier  eating and running after work. Although it means that my running trousers are now rather loose, so I need to buy new ones...

What is really great is that we are given time in work to run as the Tough Mudder challenge is a work event. I think that it also gives me the motivation to actually do it as I don't want to let the rest of the team down. I have a long way to go yet... but hopefully it will all be worth it.

I think that its got to the point now where I don't really want to lose weight as such, I just want to get stronger and better my PB (and not die on the way round). I have noticed improvements in my legs and waist, which is lovely.

A typical breakfast is one of the following 

One banana, a couple of handfuls of grapes and about five strawberries cut up 


Banana and porridge mmmmmm

Or a banana and dairy free yoghurt....
Notice that there is always a banana? Yeah, I'm pretty obsessed with them 


Lunch:

I try and sneak a box of fruit in there

Have  I mentioned that Strawberries, Bananas and grapes are a winning combo?)

 Banana and Grapes and Blueberries... I felt rather sick after this one... blueberries are NOT my friends ahaha


Dinner: 

I am trying to cook more.... honest.

The running gear:

This has changed recently but I was wearing the below : I love my pink Jack Wills Hoody. However it felt a bit heavy after the weather started to improve (it was great for winter running). 





And finally.... as this is a beauty blog: 

It is important to treat yourself.... Melt from Lush and facemarks from Superdrug are god sends. I will be doing a separate posts on these bad boys later on in the month!
