A new Vlog & some Retro gaming finds
I hope that Monday has been kind to you.
I myself, have busy filming a new Vlog for the channel (due to go live tomorrow). I filmed a play through of Plants VS Zombies Garden Warfare 2.
I am rather enjoying filming these kind of videos because a) I am a true gamer at heart and b) I can bring Luke (my partner) into the filming process.
You can see our previous video for the Division here :
The new video was inspired by a clean out that we did on Sunday. Basically we are moving flat and therefore we decided to be strict with getting rid of items that we no longer have any use for.
As you can see in the picture we have three piles of PC games, Wii games, Xbox 360 & one games and PS4 games.
Luke also persuaded me to get rid of my Xbox 360 console that resided in my bedroom. I was rather attached to it because it was one of the first things that I bought with my first working wage.
I also traded in my wii console and all its various accessories. We literally rolled into game with six bags of stuff. We left with 135 pounds.
But I thought that I would dedicate this post to the awesome items that I found and that I am keeping.
What I haven't pictured is that I have my original xbox console. The first ever one, the chunky overheating wired monkey..... I wouldn't get any money for it anyway.
I thought that I would picture three games that I adored growing up. Two have recently been remade and I am hoping that one day The Simpsons Hit and Run will follow.
When I play these, it really does bring back positive memories from my childhood :)
Moving on the PC.
Starting with Theme Park world and Theme Hospital.... the concepts were simple. Set up a theme park and a hospital and run them and try not to run out of money.
But these games are crazy. For example in the Hospital game, the list of diseases are crazy.... Elvis disease and Bloaty head (you have to literally pop their heads and blow them back up).
I have wasted many a year playing these.
Also up is command and conquer .... My dad used to play this and then I did. I love it as again the concept is simple. Set up a military base, defend it and then destroy the other one. Losely based on the Cold war... its a little Gem.
Finally, Roller coaster Tycoon. Set up a theme park.... its more grown up then theme park world (which is obvs aimed at Children)... you have to be very careful with money and rides maintained. Otherwise.... people can die..... It requires a lot more concentration but it is really fun.
The one that I am most excited about.......
My gameboy colour that I had since I was very small.
I turned it on... batteries still work......
AND, I didn't notice but Pokemon Yellow is sitting in it andddddd it stilllllll workssssssss!
Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh. Looking through the box, I also have alot of the original Pokemon games, and some others.
If they all work, then I might do a follow up post!
Let me know if you enjoy any of these ;)
