LIFESTYLE AND YOUTUBE : An Absence from the Hideaway and it's channel
Firstly, thanks to everyone that read yesterday's post about my wanderlust and desire to adventure...
I basically wrote it mainly to clear my head. I feel as though the feeling is going to stay with me for a bit until I sort things....
But that enough of that.
Now, I thought that before I get back into the swing of things with the posts on here, that I would explain my absence.
Basically, there was a few factors that led to me taking an unplanned absence from both the channels and this blog.
The first was a random skin illness... basically one day at work, my chest was really sore and itchy.
When I got home I noticed that I had a rash all over my arms, chest and legs....
There is a picture below....
It felt odd because, I'm used to having tricky skin, but this kinda appeared so quickly it worried me for a bit.
Obviously with a rash comes the fear of serious illness.... although that is very overdramatic looking back. I was glad because the next day it was gone.... but then on the next shift, my rash came back!
I came to the conclusion that it was the work's AC as when I covered my skin up it didn't happen again.
Needless to say that while this was going on... the last thing that I wanted to do was to go on camera and document it.....
The second reason for my absence is that Luke went on a Charity Biking Adventure for five days. He cycled from Northampton to Ypres in Belgium.
Pre trip, I just wanted to spend time with him, because I knew that I would find the time apart hard.
Whereas this was true.... I wasn't the only one that felt the distance......
Boots really missed his father. He miaowed sweetly whenever Luke was on the phone, slept on his clothes (refusing to move), kept staring at the door etc.
For me, I spent my time cooking, tiding and relaxing. In my previous post, I said this is when my desire for wanderlust kicked in.
One of my creations .... Vegan Strawberry and Apple crumble/ cobbler
I couldn't wait for Luke to come home and it was wonderful when he did!
I am ever so proud that he has managed to raise just over 300 pounds for the local homeless shelter in Northampton!
I have to say that it feels good to be back and uploading, I will also be posting on the channel tomorrow.
I feel as though today is the perfect day to write and edit as it was the first day that we had proper autumnal weather.... but more about this tomorrow.
For the end of the post, I have included a picture of Diego's attempt at hide and seek.... I think that he may need to have a little practise.....
