GAMING : March Favourites
Happy International Womens Day!
I hope that you are feeling good, we are officially half way through the week and I am so grateful.
I have been up and down with illness, I thought that I was better yesterday. Woke up this morning and NOPE.
Ah well, these things are sent to try us.
I have been self medicating with flavoured teas and my new glasses :
I used to wear glasses all the time as a kid so I was reluctant when I was told that I would have to wear them again. I wear them for computer work, gaming and reading time.
I wanted to go for something a tad retro so they are slightly oversized.
I thought that I would just mention that the video from my Trip to London is live on the Youtube Channel :
Just a little glimpse into the day and some of the adventure we had, as I said before it was lovely to spend some time with my mum.....
So on to my gaming favourite for the month, its something fairly new, and I know that alot of people are talking about it but its Horizon Zero Dawn.
Luke had been excited for it for months prior to release and I hadn't got a clue what it was about.
I took it on face value... that it was about tribes and survival.... and metal creatures... lets not forget the metal creatures.
But it's so much more than that.
Its about acceptance and getting answers, about discovering who you are in a post apocalyptic world.
The gameplay can be fairly glitchy, however this is a new release and there will be updates ... the voice acting is a little wooden in places, and some of the story is predictable.
However, what it does is combine the old and the new... the tribe warfare with the shiny creatures and the 'focus' device that will be your guide (and keep you alive).... the graphics are amazing (you'll know that I'm a serious nerd for beautiful graphics).
Although, I imagine, I have alot of story to go through... I'm hooked and lost alot of yesterday evening in these amazing world.
The decisions that you make through out the game, changes the story slightly. For example, through choosing a different choice with Rost to Luke, I got a whole different series of event play out. So pick carefully!
If you are a fan of Farcry in particular you'll love this. You have to upgrade your weapons from everything you can find and you can make your tribe stronger by completing side quests and freeing people from bandit camps etc.
I hope to write a full review when I have completed it, one thing is for sure... it's made me excited to jump back on the Playstation!
