LIFESTYLE : Bank Holiday
So I thought that I would share my Bank Holiday weekend with you.
So the weather was beautiful and warm. Even though its only spring here, it felt like the middle of Summer.
I love just relaxing at home, with the back door open, watching the cats chase flies and the world being at peace.
I live in a small flat so I think that it helps to have extra light, air and space.
On Saturday, I experimented with some supplements.
I am trying to use various powders (Cacao and Maca) to replace vitamins that I miss due to my vegan diet.
Before I bought them, I used a fitness and food tracker to work out the most commonly missed vitamins. I also for the most part cannot have tablets as they have a lactose covering. I sadly also found that this is true for hay fever tablet, which is one of the reasons that I have been so sick.
To be honest, I'm not really a pill taker so to be able to drink powder is a good idea for someone like me. Especially as you can change the flavour.
I added both to a smoothie that I made. I plan to write a post in the future about all the others I tried and this one above tasted like a black forest desert.
I think that since I started using them, I feel like I have more energy, I might get a few odd looks at work. But in the long run I think that its going to be worth it.
Later in the day we went for a walk around the local park and went to the fair that is currently in town.
We went on the ghost train and the twister and ate some chips. I filmed this but I forgot to take pictures! It was really fun, Luke hates spinning rides, so for him to go on with me was a huge deal.
I ended up cracking my phone screen as one of the rides wasn't very secure and on the other I ended up getting cut on a bit of metal. Both situations have been resolved though haha.
I wasn't very happy though!
I also uploaded two videos on this day :
Vegan Meal Prep and Illness
Pokemon Go - an update
On Sunday, we went for a picnic in the park.
I made sure that we found a shady spot near a forest area. We didn't take much food as we had a big breakfast beforehand. It was nice to sit and people watch and make up stories for people.
It was nice not to have to rush back and just appreciate the time that we have together.
I did worry about Luke and his skin. He burns so easily.
When we came home, we decided to gut the Garden and give it some much needed TLC
Finally, yesterday, we spent the day at home.
Luke is currently ill, so we spent the day relaxing and playing alot of video games whilst watching Anime.
It allowed me to plan the net couple of days ahead and also to plan some more blog posts.
I think a recharge whilst still enjoying the sun is exactly what the doctor ordered.
I also have been exploring these two boxes that I was sent over the weekend.
I have the May Birchbox
Marzia'a Hideaway box.
I will be reviewing them in the next post!
So thats it for now, let me know what you got up to over the past three days!
