For those of you getting your exam results...

Hi guys,

It's been a couple of days since I last blogged. I've just been feeling really tired after work, that and I've been doing a lot of reading for my degree. What a crazy lifestyle I have aha. You can read more about this here

As you know, this blog is heavily influenced by current events as well as what beauty products I'm loving etc.

I reaslied that on Thursday, a lot of you received your A level results and a lot of you will get your GCSE results this Thursday.  I found myself wondering how fast the summer holidays are going!

I wish you all luck, I know this is a very uncertain and stressful time. But if you put the work in then you should be rewarded ;). Go and celebrate because you well and truly earned it. I think that there is a lot of pressure on young people and letters on a page. I personally didn't get all my predicted grades, I gave up in certain subjects but I managed to achieve my goal of going to sixth form and then to go and complete a History degree. I must secretly enjoy education as I'm still studying.

I should probably point out I got my GSCES 8 years ago and my A Levels 6 years ago. Im getting on a bit....

But remember if you didn't get what you want you can always retake or try to better next time. Don't beat yourself up too much. It's done, you can't change it. Your parents and friends will still love you.

People aren't defined by whats on a piece of paper. I cant't remember the last time that someone asked for my GCSES or A Levels, when I was in my first job and Uni that was it.

People are brilliant in different ways. I may be 'clever' on paper, but when it comes to practial tasks such as learning to drive and working with my hands, I suckkkkk. I think that the beauty of life. Everyone is different.

If you are unsure as to the next step I have written a previous blog on Uni. You can check that out here

Remember that Uni is not the be all and end all. There are other courses after school that you can take if you want to stay in education. There are also Apprenticeships and work based schemes that will give you qualifications

I have previously recorded a vlog on this subject (one of my first) and you can see this below :

I hope that this blog helps a few of you to feel a little bit and little bit more relaxed.

Drop me a message if you are currently waiting for results / just got them OR if you are older like me, drop me some memories of your results day.

Thanks guys,

Becky x
