GAMING : Fallout 4 & New Hair!

Hello my dears,

So I'm currently huddled under a blanket, wrapped up in a dressing gown with the fire going.

It's quite nice as last night was a busy one.

Luke and I went to get our hair cut, it was my first one for a long while.

I used to be really good with keeping up appointments, but as I got older I think the costs have just gotten worse.

Luckily for me, Luke has introduced me to a lovely lady that did a great job yesterday!

I had the ends taken off (about an inch) and I had my fringe put back in!

You can see the results below. It's true what they say that a little change to your head makes all the difference

The rest of the post is going to be dedicated to another gaming review for Fallout 4.

If you watch either of my Youtube Channels, you will know that I was very hyped to play this game but I ended up with a very love hate relationship with it.

As a quick overview, the game is set in a world after a nuclear attack. You have to survive and make alliances and make some pretty hefty decisions.

The map is very much open world so as you explore and gather items, enemies tend to be nearby.

One of the best features of Fallout 4 is the VATs targeting system.

It allows you to slow down time and focus on a particular aspect of your target - it can get you out of a bind. Also running around in power armour with a mini gun is always fun.

One thing however that I cannot get over is the twist in the middle and the ending. I felt like as a gamer, it wasn't a great pay off. The ending in fact did not seem worth the long journey.

My top tips :

§ Collect EVERYTHING and if you aren't going to use it, break it down into its elements - at the end of the game, you will be grateful

§ Be careful with Dogmeat - He's all cute and a great friend, but he has a knack of getting you into big trouble and running straight into danger

§ Don't try to please every faction - I tried to do this and it dragged the game out longer - and in the end I had to do some brutal things..... I regret my choices

§ Enjoy the side quests - in my opinion they are better than the main storyline - don't rush the ending.

Overall id give the game 6/10 - Luke never wants to play it again and wanted to snap the disk.

I will play it soon, without any pressures and make some 'better' choices aha.

You can check the videos above for game play - they do contain spoilers

Thats it for now.

Time to go and hibernate!
